What is PassID?

A service for 3DS owners to share their friend code easily via the 16 character message limit. The nature of this site allows you to enter your PassID link on the message section and easily share this as you travel via StreetPass.

What is the StreetPass Network?

StreetPass Network seeks to connect Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS owners with one of the many StreetPass groups across the world. It also provides various informational resources for StreetPass groups and their members.

Although they vary in style, StreetPass groups generally facilitate regular meetups at the location referenced in their title so that Nintendo 3DS owners can fully enjoy StreetPass, a feature that lets the Nintendo 3DS exchange data automatically with other Nintendo 3DS systems within range. At many group events, use of the original Nintendo DS system’s Tag Mode is also welcome and supported.

How do I register?

On the PassID homepage, click 'Sign-up'. Fill out your details to make a new account from scratch, or sign in with Twitter or Facebook. After that you will be guided through several steps to set up your PassID account.

I forgot my password, how do I regain access to my account?

On the PassID homepage, click the 'Log-in' button and choose 'forgot password?'. Then enter your email address in the text field and click the button below. An email is sent with a link to reset your password. Open the mail, click the link and fill out a new password.

How do I remove my account?

In the top navigation, click 'Settings'. Then click the 'Delete Account' link at the bottom of the page, and follow the instructions. Deleting an account cannot be undone, so only remove your account if you're really sure.

How do I change my account settings?

In the top navigation, click 'Settings'. You can change your account details here. Note that every change requires your current password for verification.

I already have an account. How do I link my Twitter or Facebook account?

In the top navigation, click 'Settings'. Click the 'Link Twitter' or 'Link Facebook' buttons at the bottom of the page. It will redirect to a Twitter or Facebook authorization page. After authorizing PassID, the account is linked.

How do I unlink my Twitter or Facebook account?

In the top navigation, click 'Settings'. Click the button below Twitter or Facebook to unlink your account.

How do I add friends?

You can add friends a number of ways. When viewing someone's profile or a group, you can click the 'Befriend' button below their friendcode. Also see How do I find friends from Facebook and Twitter and How do I see who have me friended.

How do I find friends from Facebook and Twitter?

Make sure you have your Facebook or Twitter linked to your PassID account. In the top navigation, click 'Friends', then click 'Find Friends'. All your Facebook and Twitter friends who have a PassID account will show up here. To add someone as a friend, simply click 'Befriend' below their avatar.

How do I see who have me friended?

In the top navigation, click 'Friends'. Then click 'Incoming'. It shows a list of PassID users who have you as their friend. You can also friend them from this page by clicking 'Befriend' below their avatar.

How do I send messages?

You can send messages to mutual friends. That means, your friends who friended you back. To do this, click 'Inbox' in the top navigation, and then select the 'New Message' tab. Click the 'Set Recipient' button and choose whoever you want to send the message to. Type a text and click the send button!

How do I find a group?

In the top navigation, click 'Groups' and go to 'Find Groups'. You can browse all groups here, and filter them by name.

How do I join a group?

Find a group as explained in How do I find a group. To join the group, simply press the 'Join' button below the group avatar.

How do I leave a group?

In the top navigation, click 'Groups'. This page shows the groups you joined. To leave a group, simply press the 'Leave' button below the group avatar.

I came across an offensive profile. How do I report this?

If you someone's profile offensive, you can flag it by clicking the 'flag as inappropriate' button in the lower right corner of the profile.
